I am a Registered Nurse who is committed to providing excellent holistic, client centred clinical assessment and care.
The support and education of patients and staff in achieving this is an on-going passion for me.
I have a history of direct patient care, clinical leadership and co-ordination of delivery of care, involvement in quality initiatives and, education, both formal and informal.

I am currently part of the community team at Waipuna Hospice, a role which involves close liaison with members of the wider multi disciplinary team.
This role includes managing a patient work load, visiting patients whom the goal of care is comfort i.e. managing symptoms, education, providing holistic support for patients and whanau, along with excellent communication and documentation skills.
Providing high quality specialist palliative nursing assessment, support, advice and guidance via zoom or telephone.
Completing patient and whanau visits, including Initial Assessments via zoom.
Managing case load autonomously
Liaison with wider IDT, both internal and external.
Providing support for colleagues in clinical team
Providing back up for the Clinical Coordinator; managing all in-coming phone calls, triaging all new referrals to Hospice West Auckland.

Following my graduation in 1985, I have held various nursing positions, including Senior Nursing Positions.
For example, Coordinating the Nurse Entry to Practice (NETP) programme at Counties Manukau DHB and working as an Infection Control practitioner.
All of my nursing positions have lead to sound and wide nursing experience and knowledge.
