Projects

Handwriting recognition project (March 2022 - April 2022)

  • Designed and implemented a Python-based machine learning tool for recognising handwritten digits and English letters.
  • Utilised a comprehensive dataset to train the model, achieving quantifiable accuracy in handwriting recognition.
  • Developed an interactive GUI to enhance user engagement, integrating machine learning results and visualisations.

Game development project (May 2022 - June 2022):

  • Designed and implemented a computer game in C++ with embedded functionalities using digital logic and design principles. Developed an interactive GUI to enhance user engagement, integrating machine learning results and visualisations.
  • Developed a game controlled by a PS/2 mouse, DIP switches and DE0 board, and integrated the software programme with user interfaces.

Robot development project (July 2022 - November 2022):

  • Developed a two-wheeled robot for maze navigation using PSoC in C, incorporating UART communication and circuit design tools.
  • Designed and built a sensor PCB to locate and position the robot on the projected line., Configured hardware subsystems for use with a microcontroller and a software solution to solve path planning requirements.

Traffic sign recognition and operation robot project (September 2022 - November 2022):

  • Applied Python-based machine learning algorithms for real-time traffic sign recognition and corresponding robotic responses.
  • Collected and organised datasets, building custom models to train the robot for recognising a variety of traffic signs.

Emotional talking face generation project (March 2023 - December 2023):

  • Developed a DNN model in Python for synthesising a sequence of face images corresponding to given speech semantics.
  • Utilised image and text data to render emotional expressive talking face visualisations.

Technical Skills

Python:

  • Acquired proficiency in Python, with a focus on machine learning applications, and utilised libraries such as scikit-learn and TensorFlow for university machine learning projects.
