Grayson Whitman

The project I worked on is called Nga Mokopuna (Living Pā) in Wellington, Victoria University.

It is a Living Building Challenge project meaning it has been designed and built to be self-sufficient to its site. It can generate all its own electricity, collect all required water, and manage all its own wastewater.

Here I was the Facade and Roof Manager where I had to demonstrate the skills listed below.

• Supervised team of 13construction workers to maintain productivity and quality of work.
• Collaborated closely with clients and main designers to ensure project objectives were met, maintaining transparent communication throughout the process.
• Performed regular job site observations to provide direction for general contractor personnel and subcontractor laborers.
• Oversaw successful completion of multiple areas of the projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and importance. (facade and roof)
• Identified and resolved construction issues promptly to prevent delays.

• Demonstrated versatility in carpentry techniques, working proficiently with both hand tools and power tools to achieve desired results.
• Specialized in specific carpentry tasks such as framing, finish work, or restoration projects to provide clients with tailored services and high-quality results.
• Demonstrated close attention to detail to verify quality and accuracy of work.
• Read and interpreted blueprints to follow specifications of projects.
