As a third-year student studying for a Bachelor of Agribusiness and Food Marketing at Lincoln University, I bring a unique blend of skills and experiences to any role. Growing up on a dairy farm, I gained hands-on experience in farm management, animal care, and crop production. In addition, I have worked in the hospitality industry, where I developed strong customer service and communication skills. I am also a passionate equestrian, and I regularly compete in showjumping competitions. Through my experiences in the agribusiness industry and my dedication to equestrian sports, I have developed a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence. I am eager to bring these skills to a new opportunity that will allow me to continue growing both personally and professionally.
I currently work as a part time stable hand for Rose Alfeld. My responsibilities include bringing in horses, gearing them up, mucking out paddocks, and riding a variety of horses.
I assist on the family farm with various activities, including rearing calves, performing tractor work such as mowing, rolling, and power harrowing, occasional milking, and general farm maintenance tasks.
During my summer job at Asure Quality, I was responsible for certifying crops prior to harvest. My duties included walking through paddocks to identify any issues that could affect certification, noting significant observations, and regularly communicating with farmers to address problems or deliver positive updates. Additionally, I developed a strong proficiency in reading farm maps, which was essential for navigating various farms on a daily basis.
In this role I was expected to care for the mares on the property, such as feeding, mucking out and making sure the horses were happy. I also brought horses and foals up to the crush to be scanned and was on call for when the vet returned from away scans. I also did jobs around the property such as spraying and cutting docs.
Worked in the factory filtering and cleaning seed samples and also bagging different seed. Also worked out in the felids collecting samples.

Its a sport that teaches many life lessons and has allowed me to become more open minded, grown my perseverance skills, and made me appreciate the highs more.
