This was a fixed term role over the disbudding season.

• Collected patient blood samples for laboratory analysis.
• Restrained animals
• Interacted with clients regarding animal health, questions and concerns.
• Administer medications, vaccines and treatments as instructed by veterinarian.
• Assisted in preparation and administration of anaesthesia for disbudding.
• Administered prescribed injectable controlled substances, sedatives and injectable anesthetics.

This was a full-time job over the sheep/alpaca shearing season, travelling to multiple farms in the United Kingdom. This involved handling, tipping and restraining the animal, as-well as wool handling.

This was work experience on a 744ha sheep and beef farm. After a year of completion I gained the New Zealand Certificate in Agriculture.
