Teaching Philosophy
My philosophy is grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi, valuing Aotearoa's bicultural heritage. I believe whanaungatanga (relationships) with students, whānau, and the wider community are vital, accelerating individual learning and strengthening effective school-wide curriculum design. I cultivate a culturally responsive environment, extending from classroom to school, where manaakitanga (care and respect) empowers students and colleagues to thrive. This context drives strategic curriculum development to nurture resilience, confidence, and identity for all learners in New Zealand.
Expert in structured literacy for Years 4–8, curriculum design, and differentiated instruction.
