• To admit and discharge the Patient

• To assist the doctor in OPD, Ward, Emergency Room and help the medical team by monitoring blood pressure, Temperature, Pulse and performs all the routine nursing procedures.

• To help and guide assistant nurse in distributing medicine to the patients, removing sutures, change patient's dressing, giving bed bath and dress patients.

• Preparing the medical record of the patient and sending them for Discharge summary Department & after that it sends to the head of the medical records department.

• To manage the patient in intensive care units and assist the consults in handling emergencies, intubations and central venous line insertion.

• Administers drugs and injections does necessary as per the physicians instructions, Responsible for the replenishment/replacement of the drugs & consumables used.

• To maintain respiratory therapy, intravenous therapy, cardiac/Para monitor, pulse oxymeter, infusion pump and monitor patient's progress.

• To prepare the patient for surgery by washing, shaving, sterilizing patients operative areas and perform pre and post operative management and aware the patient about pre and post operative care.

• To clean and fumigate the operating room, ICU, Sterilizing instruments and check emergency medicine kit timely.

• Maintaining necessary registers and log book.

• To accompany very ill patients sent to other department.

• To aware and educate the patient regarding sanitation, nutrition and family planning.

• Give comprehensive nursing care by meeting physical, psychological needs of the patient.

• Maintenance of nursing records including nurse's flow sheet, charts, consents, and initial assessment data for all assigned patients as per protocols.
• Administers drugs and injections does necessary as per the physicians instructions, Responsible for the replenishment/replacement of the drugs & consumables used.
• Maintains continuity of care through clear and concise verbal and written communication with all departments.
• Performs nursing procedures as per set protocols in the department.
• Connects monitor & records the vitals of the patient.
• Coordinates with the wards and different departments.
• Preparing the medical record of the patient and sending them for Discharge summary Department & after that it sends to the head of the medical records department.)
• In case of medico legal death, the body and certificate has to be handed over only to the investigating police officer under the supervision of the on duty in charge doctor.
• Ensure proper cleanliness and disposal of waste from the department.
• Perform any other duty as may be specified from time to time.
• Educates herself on any new equipment installed in her unit
• Collects and sends all relevant documents duly completed to ensure speedy transfers or discharge process. Will accompany all critical & helpless patients
• Maintaining the stock of medicines, equipments as well as requirement of the ICCU department.
• Attends all in-service education programs and takes mandatory certification programs
