As an engineering student I completed novel experimental work on materials and alloys. During this project I made use of robotics, various imaging techniques, general lab procedures, data analysis and use of MATLAB for data representation.

After completion of my MSc in Mechanical Engineering I completed a my PGCE for mathematics. Upon completion I worked as a teacher which has given me skills such as communication, public speaking and working as part of a team which were not the main focus in my degrees. This has made me a stronger engineering candidate as these skills will be extremely useful in my role.
