Summary

Over the past 14 years I've been in the Waste Industry. Started September 2009, then becoming the Operations Manager for the last 7 years. During this time I've gained experience in driving / operating trucks and machinery to Operations Management. I've always been self motivated and strived to achieve best results operationally to meet customer needs. Strong leader and problem-solver. Decision-making skills and making sound judgment calls to positively impact day to day operations. Work well in a team and get on with all walks of life.

Operations Manager

September 2009 to September 2011: Driver assistant servicing around the greater King Country region. Yardman, Loader operator, loading recyclable materials into 30 cubic meter bins for transport.

September 2011 to October 2016: Truck driving servicing commercial & residential customers & local Council contracts around the King Country region. Driving / operating multiple trucks during this time. Ranging from class 2 to class 4 vehicles including Road ranger 18 speed gear box. Time management, Daily Pre & Post vehicle inspections.

October 2016 to December 2023: King Country Operations Manager.

Ensuring all policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and Company rules are adhered to at all times.

Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Performance is kept to a high standard.

Coordinate Planned and Unplanned maintenance of Fleet with maintenance suppliers to ensure all vehicles and machinery are at all times operating safely, efficiently and legally.

Responsible for 22 staff members within the King Country region. Ensuring staff are trained and signed off to operate different types of vehicles and machinery. Work time is adhered to at all times in accordance with Land Transport Logbook work time requirements.

Customer Service, Ensuring all obligations to customers are meet, prioritising customer needs as the most important to maintain a good working relationship.

Working with three local Councils and Managing contractual obligations for Otorohanga, Waitomo and Ruapehu District Councils for Kerbside collection and operations at 7 Transfer station sites including a Landfill based in Taumarunui (closed 2018). Commercial and Residential customers throughout the region.

Assembly line work, erecting side and back walls to chassis then install of cabinetry / furniture before moving onto the next department within assembly line.

Cabinetry making from ground up to be installed into motorhomes and caravans.

Time management for each unit.

Quality checks before unit is moved to the next department.
