Work History

Part-time Worker

Kartsports Hamilton
01.2024 - Current
  • I have currently been working part time on weekends at Kartsports Hamilton, where I assist in the kitchen taking orders for customers and preparing food. While working in the kitchen I have learnt the basic skills of working the till, and how to assist customers. During rush hour on our busy days we could have anywhere between 100-200 customers. This is reasonably busy for us as we sell out of our cabinetry food, and then we are cooking to order which can get stressful for us and our customers, who are also generally on a time crunch themselves.
  • Evaluated customer needs and feedback to drive product and service improvements.
  • Improved team morale and productivity through effective communication and active listening skills.

Part-time Worker

Te Awamutu St John opportunity shop
11.2023 - 02.2024
  • I have also worked part time at the Te Awamutu St John opportunity shop where my responsibilities included cleaning the shop, restocking shelves, tagging items, and washing clothes in preparation for resale. This was generally a slow paced job, as there was never much of a rush in our shop.
  • Collaborated with team members to streamline operations and improve workflow efficiency.

  • I am currently a student at Hamilton Girls High School. I am also a St John cadet where I have been training since 2018. I have learned many helpful skills while being a cadet, such as level 2 first aid certificate. I have leadership roles in my division, and have been awarded the 2025 leadership role as district cadet of the year. Alongside this I have learnt how to work in group settings and under pressure. I am able to find a way to fix a lot of problems that I come across and I am a good communicator, and am passionate at helping other cadets and leaders when needed.
  • I thrive in environments where the attitudes are happy, encouraging and where there is a push to try new things and learn.
