Paediatric lead for medical cannabis clinic. I approached this role with curiosity with limited knowledge of medical cannabis but was aware many paediatric patients were being put on treatment. My aim is to ensure that all families have availability to treatment where appropriate, but ensuring mainstream approaches have been first considered and where necessary, cautious, monitored approach is taken.

Skills And Experience

Working in varied health positions and countries has ensured engagement with a variety of age groups, cultural, ethnic, and community groups. Dual qualifications in Adult and Paediatric Emergency Medicine, alongside General Paediatric training, have provided skills in both acute care and diagnosis, alongside child protection across the entire age spectrum. Mentoring and simulation training provide opportunities to impart knowledge and experiences, as well as learn from more junior staff. 

Led the Wellbeing program in the Children's Emergency Department Hive and co-led the AED wellbeing group. Awarded the ACEM Individual Wellbeing Champion Award for establishing the HiVE program. Certified Coach with a focus on supporting healthcare workers. Completed a course on management of complex problems within organizations (TISS - The Institute of Social Sustainability). Deputy Medical Lead role in AED provided understanding of organizational pressures, change behaviour, and the importance of clear communication. Values include integrity, honesty, transparency, and reflection.


In 2023 I was parent support on the Kristin Year 8 school camp.  Along with the Nicola Hackett and the Kristin team, we managed and navigated a COVID outbreak during the camp.  I have been parent manager support for the Kristin Flippa ball team in 2023.
