Henry Harris

My name is Henry Harris. I am a 16-year-old who is ready to increase my hours in the workforce.
I have been working part-time at 'Kawau Bay Kitchen' in Orewa, since September 2022 as a dishwasher. 'Kawau Bay Kitchen' was a busy restaurant where I worked independently as a dishwasher, but also assisted in other kitchen tasks as requested by the chef. In October 2023 the ownership changed and the restaurant became 'The Fat Oyster'. I haver remained there as kitchen hand.
I have shown I am reliable, trustworthy and focused by achieving my bronze surf lifeguard award. Since becoming a lifeguard in 2021, I have also achieved my Surf First Aid course and passed my IRB (Inflatable rescue boat) driver exam.
I have my restricted driver's license.

In April 2024 I completed a 10 day Spirit Of Adventure voyage. This experience provided me with new team work and life skills.
My career goal in the long term is to become a pilot. I have proved my commitment to this passion by applying for and getting accepted into the Young Eagles flight program at Dairy Flat Airport in 2022.
My hobbies include surf club, skiing and wake boarding. I have skied in New Zealand, Japan and Canada.
I am very excited to be given the opportunity to gain more life skills by increasing my working hours and working with new people in a busy and dynamic work environment.
