- I helped senior service technicians service, repair and maintain agricultural machinery and equipment. I delivered silage wrap to North, Mid and South Canterbury. I also did a lot of the welding that needed doing, i.e. reinforcing buckets, strengthening mixer wagon augers.
- I also cleaned the equipment, preparing it for sale. I delivered the sold machinery and equipment.

Experience
- I have been driving tractors for 5 years on our family block feeding animals in the winter and small square baling from a young age, using my dad’s old school JD 3650.
- While I was at school during the weekends, I helped a neighbouring crop farmer with cultivation using a Case MX 140. I also helped with any fencing jobs that needing doing. I am good with general farm work, like fencing and water supply. I also have a bit of experience with livestock and know how to stay calm under when under stress.
- More recently, I have been helping our neighbouring cropping farmer during school holidays with grain carting off the combine, driving a JD 617M and MF 7615 and doing all the mulching after grass seed harvest to incorporate any left over straw, as well as Cambridge rolling during spring cultivation last year.
- My dad is a mowing subcontractor with a JD 6195R and Claas Triples and a Fendt 936 with Claas Triples, which I help service in the winter. I have driven these for a couple of days when the drivers have been away. We also run a Musmax wood chipper behind the 936 in the Autumn, doing calf bedding so I have been having a go on that and delivering the chip with a tractor and 40 cube trailer. I also have telehandler experience with a JCB loadall loading trailers with bulk products and silage bales.
- I am a keen and competent MIG welder and have good basic workshop knowledge and hold a full driving licence as well as a forklift license.
- I think I would suit this position as I have a love for tractors and would love to gain more experience within the industry.
