Facilitate Te Kakano (nurse led) clinics in rural communities with the aim of improving health outcomes for Maori. Clinics are free and we offer a range of services such as screening, education and support, basic ailment treatment, sexual health and mental health support, vaccinations and community connections. We have a range of standing orders which we work under to provide treatments, vaccinations and contraception.

• Focusing on equity and improved health outcomes for priority group women by promoting and encouraging participation in breast and cervical screening.
• Working with Kaimahi to support priority group women to screening by partnering with them to remove or overcome barriers to screening.
• Organising health promotion activities and clinics in partnership with local NGO's, Maori and Pacific health providers and GP practices.
• Establishing meaningful relationships with community leaders and organisations.
• Overseeing and coordinating the Kaimahi team.
• Running cervical screening clinics, monitoring results and making referrals as appropriate.
• Providing practices with up to date data and new information regarding breast and cervical screening programmes.

• Role includes all aspects of care including medical, palliative, rehabilitation, emergency, outpatient and aged care.
• Sole charge after hours, responsible for all aspects of patient care and associated decision making processes.

• PRIME trained - working approx. one weekend per month as the PRIME (coordinated by Ranfurly Medical Centre)
