• With this Mahi, I conducted numerous duties.

Such as.

• Providing prisoners with their basic and minimum entitlements.
• Escorting prisoners to medical appointments.
• Maintaining the security of the prison facility by monitoring prisoner behavior and intervening when necessary.
• Daily file noting of prisoner behavior, achievements, medical information, escort information, and phone calls, etc.
• Processing paper work for prisoners (phone call forms, visitors applications, release to work applications, property requests forms, etc.
• Facilitated visits for prisoners and their Whanau, both in person and via video call.
• Managing a caseload of prisoners allocated to me, this case load is specifically my responsibility to take care of in terms of making sure they have everything they need for their daily living in prison( such as dietary needs, any hobbies they may be interested in, etc.) As well as making sure they adhere to their rehabilitation requirements, such as attending courses and meeting with psychologists.
• Working collaboratively with case managers and other services to provide a tailored plan for the individual.

• This work was part time alongside a secondary job
• Within this employment I fulfilled a number of positions, these included working in the boning floor freezers, exporting meats, and slaughter floor
• All of these positions were very physical and required me to work long hours
• At all times I had to work to strict time constraints and follow health and safety protocols.

• This was a part time position which included changing tyres, cleaning and supporting my employer with whatever was required.
