This is my first job after moving down south. I started at checkouts and then moved into the butchery department after a few months

● Flavouring and crumbing various meats

● Packing meat into uniform trays for sale

● Pressure washing all surfaces each day

● Cleaning and sanitizing of the mincer, slicer, and band saw each day

● Adhering to safety standards and procedures for safe food preparation

● Scanning items through the checkout register, and packing bags for customers

This was a full time job with 4am starts. I travelled between five different busy Auckland supermarkets, building displays and stocking shelves for loved NZ brands. Some of which were Whittakers, Farrahs, and Barkers

● Building displays for new products

● Filling shelves to ensure there are no out of stock items

● Date rotating of stock

● Liaising with the store buyers

● Unloading pallets with boxes weighing up to 15kg

● Stock-taking and keeping organised stock rooms at each store

Vodis is a car repair workshop that specializes in Volkswagon, Audi and Skoda. I was the main receptionist there, and worked every hour the shop was open

● Taking phone, email and walk in bookings

● Organising and ordering the car parts needed for each job

● Preparing and printing the jobs sheets for the mechanics

● Typing up and billing the invoices

● Following up overdue accounts

● Keeping an organided filing system

This was a full time position where I was in charge of the china/glass department. I was also promoted to a supervisor after just two months

● Dealing with customer returns and complaints

Cash Converters is a second hand store that sells electronics, power tools and jewellery. They also offer personal loans and pawnbroking. I worked at Cash Converters for 11 years, duty managing multiple branches over the last few years

● Key holder, responsible for opening and closing

● Testing and buying of products to sell in the store

● Assessing, approving and processing cash loans

● Photographing and listing items for sale on Trademe

● Dealing with customer returns and complaints

● Training new staff for various roles

● Merchandising and displays

● Money handling and till balancing

● Physical work e.g. carrying large tvz, car subs, and other heavy equipment

● Liasing with the police on potential stolen property

● Cold calling to advertise company services
