Summary

I am a skilled researcher with a strong background in product testing, quality control, fire studies, fire modeling, and mechanical characterization. My current research focuses on natural fiber-reinforced polymer composites incorporating graphene nanoparticles and fire retardant additives for structural and decorative architectural applications. I have extensive experience in fabricating fire retardant graphene-encapsulated composite materials and conducting their mechanical characterization, fire testing, and fire modeling to predict various fire reaction parameters. Additionally, I am proficient in design conceptualization, CAD modeling, and finite element analysis. My PhD research has provided me with significant expertise in machining, processing, CAD design, thermal and mechanical characterization, numerical and experimental fire performance analysis, and statistical evaluation of critical parameters. I am capable of working efficiently both as a team player in leadership roles and as an individual contributor to achieve project goals.

Accomplishments

  • The grant was awarded from MBIE in collaboration with CACM for pursuing my doctorate

Projects

  • Masters Research Project, 03/2019, 07/2019, Manufactured natural fibre reinforced nanocomposites using graphene nanoplatelets and presented a thesis, Developed a safe and efficient method of graphene encapsulation, Performed various mechanical and fire testing on the composite samples, Successfully enhanced the mechanical and fire properties of composites using graphene nanoplatelets, Received an A grade and positive feedback regarding the research project
  • Final Year Bachelors Project, 03/2015, 06/2015, Collaborated with a team of four to design and manufacture wireless operated spying vehicle, Played a key role in design and fabrication of the vehicle's body, Was responsible for selection of correct motors and radio frequency band suitable to drive the wheels
  • Switch Controlled War-Robot, 10/2013, 11/2013, Led a team of five students in designing and manufacturing of robot in the robo war competition organised at state level and stood second, A simple design with a ramp like structure was pivoted at the front end of the robot, powered by a separate motor to lift the opponent. Th robot also had a counter weight mechanism for stability., Was the main operator of the robot during the tournament
  • Analyzed Compressors and Pumps (Hindustan Zinc Ltd), 06/2014, 07/2014, Analyzed the energy consumption of various compressors and pumps and submitted a report, It was found that the operational range of the centrifugal compressor through speed variation is limited, There exists a cubic relationship between the compressor speed and its power consumption which implies that a modest speed reduction can result in significant energy savings, It was concluded that by installing smart Variable Speed Drives (VSD), compressor speed can be regulated resulting in energy savings from 5% to 35%
