  • Managed conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures. Achieving multiple positive outcomes, ensuring the best results for the business and that a fair process was used each time.
  • Acted as a point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
  • Worked with managers to create Performance Improvement Plans when team members were working below standard.
  • Communicated change plans and provided support to employees during transitions.
  • Established a Culture Committee that helped facilitate D&I initiatives such as Pink Shirt Day.
  • Created a parental leave process, including templates, letters and our company's policy.
  • Developed a solid recruitment model aligned with company values and culture. One way I achieved this was by designing a whole new recruitment process for our team, which not only gave them the tools (interview guides, phone screening scripts, etc.) they needed to follow this new approach, but also the training for hiring managers at every level in our organisation so that it was adopted business wide.
  • Worked closely with our external partners to create APIs and new processes that would allow the business to operate more efficiently. Some examples of this... having payslips integrate with our HRIS, correcting a 3 yearlong leave accrual issue, having our time and attendance system enhanced to allow for better reporting which helped manage labour costs.
  • Helped lead the company's remuneration strategy.
  • Developed and updated HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. For instance, a Family Violence Leave policy and the process for how the company would support and action that.
  • Helped to conduct annual engagement and culture surveys that were reported on and the results used to drive informed action.
  • Completed the 'Ultimate Employment Advisor Course' with EMA.
