I have been working in TTM on CAT A, B & C roads since March 2024 & achieved my Traffic Management Operative - Non Practicing ticket on 6/10/2025.

I’ve worked with 3 different companies across the Hutt Valley. (MenAtWork, RScabling, TSC Traffic)

I have experience in both temporary & long term stop/go sites, contraflows, shoulder, median, road & lane closures - semi static sites aswell

This includes -

• Ensuring I have everything needed for the job before beginning work
• Ensuring I know everything I need to know before beginning work
• Safely putting out signage in correct order of advanced warnings
• Safely working on the back under STMS supervision & harnessed
• Coning off the back (Can do both roles, better at stacking/feeding)
• Very experienced with radio usage (stop/go coms, on the back coms)
• Monitoring pedestrians, driveways, contractor trucks, pulled over vehicles & TM gear
• Experienced in safely setting up & removing taper cone formations with correct length & cone spacings
• Identifying site risks & hazards, informing STMS
• Calm & informative approach to confused or aggressive drivers
• Checking to see & remember where all TTM gear is placed on the truck
• Cone stack of 5-6 at a time can be picked up with technique & moved
• Acting quick & efficiently when there is any problem interfering with traffic flow
• Never forgetting to shut the latches (sign cage etc)
• Setting up & packing down level 2 signage
• Making sure I am wearing and operating a harness & lanyard correctly
• Coherent in following instructions from the STMS
• Knowledge in correctly operating a paddle/light
• Door knocking
• Spotting
• Paying attention & being aware
• Correct PPE
• Collaborating with coworkers efficiently to complete project
• Standing for long periods of time
