Jack Barnfather

An enthusiastic and driven Officer currently holding the position of Seconded Team Leader and TST with previous experience as a Combat Engineer in the New Zealand Army with 4 years experience in varied roles. Practised at working and leading small and large teams, possessing strong communication skills and critical thinking abilities. Familiar and comfortable with the demands of a fluid and dynamic operation requiring versatility and adaptability to conduct diverse tasks. An empathetic person centered leader who can bridge communication between Officers and management whilst ensuring the task is never compromised. Considerable experience in teaching and mentoring through years of Sailing Instruction, within the Defense Force and currently as a Team Leader.

 Seeking to advance my career within AVSEC and further develop my leadership skills incorporating existing skill sets and experience with the opportunity to further develop team and interpersonal skills in a varied and people orientated environment, providing a critical security output in an expansive industry. In addition, a desire to continue to promote a growth mindset within AVSEC through the critical service we provide of protecting New Zealand Aviation. Lastly, further my career aspirations through the progression through management within Christchurch Station.
