Jack Ferris

• My main roles here include but are not limited to, mowing sports fields, crickets blocks and greens, applying fertilizers, rolling and watering cricket pitches and general maintainence of grounds

My main roles here involved mowing, rolling, spraying rolling, and renovating sports turf and cricket pitches for first class and international cricket. Most games we had were televised so i like to think my standards are quite high

During my time here i did many things such mowing greens, tees, fairways, surrounds and rough. General tasks such as raking bunkers and tidying up edges of cart paths and more specialized tasks such as spraying, spiking greens and fairways and scarifying. I also used other bigger machinery such as front end loaders and other tractors . The reason for leaving was to go back to cromwell to finish my study

During my time here i was in charge of a group of 3 people who i helped undertake the maintainence of waterways which included using a weedeater to cut grass, using hand tools such as loppers and pruning saws to maintain trees and bushes and liaising with the council to pass on or receive instructions. The reason for leaving was that i wanted to study sports turf management and had to move town
