Summary

I am an eager young lady who brings a strong passion towards animals and wants to make a difference within the NZ farming industry by contributing to personalised improvements, specifically tailored to each farms goals.

It has been my dream to be able to work within the breeding and genetics side of the agricultural industry and would love to be able to work with animals a long side farmers.

I've grown up around livestock my whole life and i am super dedicated to having a career within the agricultural industry more specifically breeding and genetic improvement for livestock in NZ.

I have successfully competed at equestrian shows around the South Island and attended pony clubs in my younger years of riding.

Growing up i always had pet lambs and sheep. This is one of the reasons i developed my passion for breeding and genetics. In 2022, i started to breed my own small Hampshire flock starting with only a handful of crossbred sheep that we had bred over the years on the dairy farms.

Being raised on dairy farms has driven the passion that i have for livestock as it has been a major cornerstone of my life, its all i have ever known!

As the Agricultural sector is a male-dominated industry, it can be confronting for women to enter into and work within. Im here to join all other women working within the industry and to change the perception that the agricultural sector is a space reserved only for men, because women can make just as big of a difference in agriculture as anyone else.
