10/01/20, present, Created a standard of practice (SOP) guideline for Intake & Acute Assessment multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meeting. Currently in the process of discussing the draft guideline with I&A working group before sending it to clinical governance. 11/01/20, present, Member of the Get Home Safe Project working group, as a Public Service Association (PSA) union representative. 07/01/19, present, Certified Safe Practice Effective Communication (SPEC) trainer. 09/01/19, Presented at the Manukau police station to police officers about mental illness, the DAO role, the importance of collaboration between mental health services and police, and the mental health act. 04/01/18, 08/01/18, Attended nationwide conference as part of the CMH working group for “Zero seclusion 2020” initiative. Provided clinical leadership in Tiaho Mai to raise awareness and understanding of seclusion and its impact of service-users with staff. 05/01/18, 07/01/18, Created a quality improvement initiative in the ICU of Tiaho Mai to address restrictive practices during the night shift. The project improved non-pharmaceutical therapies overnight, resulting in clients reporting an improved experience during their stay.
