I am deeply passionate, about conservation and the protection of our natural environment, I believe the role of Biodiversity Ranger with department of conservation in the Kapiti coast is an ideal fit for my values and skills. I am eager to lead the threatened species and pest plant programs, with a strong commitment to building and maintaining relationships, I am well-prepared to contribute the success of this role.
Volunteered for 3 days on Kapiti island. The aim of the trip was to visit, check and disarm all the traps that were set across the island, plus carry out carry out maintenance on the traps and huts where it was required. All who were present were fortunate to experience parts of the island very few get to see and there was a strong sense of satisfaction at the end of the trip knowing we had contributed to the greater good of the island and its environment.
