Tēnā koe Nick,
From a young age, I had the opportunity to traverse different countries which gave me the privilege of experiencing a diverse range of cultures and educational opportunities. Experiencing diverse cultures and educational systems has cultivated cultural sensitivity, multilingual abilities, and enhanced empathy valuable assets to create inclusive and effective teaching. This gave me a benefit during my practicums where all cultures are appreciated.
I would like to apply for a beginning teacher position at Ellerslie School in a junior position for next year. During my practicum at Ellerslie School, it rang my bell that I wanted to be one of the staff here. As I prefer my education career for the long-term, I strongly believe that I could proceed with that in Ellerslie School. What draws me in is how the school is all about making learning exciting and enjoyable for students. I think every tamariki should have a school experience that is not just educational but also a place where you can have fun at the same time. I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with the committed whanau and staff and become a part of a school that prioritizes creativity, innovation, and student-centric teaching. My teaching philosophy is to inspire students to embrace the joy of learning and provide them with a strong educational foundation for the future. I am ready to bring my energy, creativity, and commitment to the Ellerslie School community and contribute to the growth and development for the future of the tamariki in a fulfilling manner.
I believe that as a teacher, my role is to illuminate the path to knowledge and inspire students to kindle their inner flames of curiosity. A teacher is not just an educator but a torchbearer, igniting the flame of learning, and nurturing young minds. Teaching is about guiding students through the darkest of moments, helping them discover the light of knowledge, and igniting their passions. It's about being the beacon of inspiration, shining brightly even in the face of challenges, and instilling a love for learning that will continue to brighten their futures. This is a forever goal that all teachers should have in mind.
Thank you for your time and consideration. If you require any further information, I am more grateful to provide you with it. I am excited to discuss this opportunity with you further.
Ngā mihi nui,
Jane Kim
