Work within the Community

  • Facilitate a weekly class for at risk youth from the local marae - Kokiri marae. Through teaching jiu-jitsu for self-defense, and running strength training workshops, the aim of this mentorship is to provide an alternative outlet to help navigate through difficult periods of their journeys.
  • Working alongside Te Runanga o Toa Rangatira, taking a weekly class for Māori men transitioning from terms of incarceration back into society. This promotes training and wellbeing as an essential part of rehabilitation, strengthening their mana in the process.
