§ Therapeutic Interventions

  • To maintain a caseload of clients as agreed with the Counselling Team Leader
  • To assess needs and issues, and have a plan of intervention.
  • Individual, group and family therapy is provided to a best practice standard and using an approach that assists clients to develop their own strengths and solutions to manage daily life and relationships
  • Using a range of therapeutic modalities appropriate to the clients needs, culture and issues, facilitate a process of learning and understanding of their reality which strengthens their resilience and strategies for coping.

  • Contribute to agency learning, best practice, and development of multi-disciplinary work.
  • Refer and consult with other services and workers as necessary to create strong assessment, planning, review and evaluation processes.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members around clients’ needs, incidents and observations
  • Ensure identification of incidents and follow appropriate procedures, in communication with your Team Leader.
  • Attend staff meetings, panel consults, Iosis days and events, and external networking opportunities as agreed.
