Jason Li

I studied at the University of Auckland and enrolled in a Commerce degree majoring in accounting and marketing. I finished my university degree in November 2023 and started my new position in Torpedo 7 as a stock controller in mid-November. My main responsibility working in this position is using the Dynamic 365 software system to process Click and Collect orders for customers. Meanwhile, I'm also in charge of receiving the replenishments and inventories from the head office and suppliers using Dynamic 365. These working experiences enhanced my understanding of the inventory level and popularity of products, as well as relevant skills using the ERP system Dynamic 365.

I am also working at Snowplanet in the Rental/ Lift department as my second job. This job requires decent customer service skills and relevant knowledge about snowboards and skis, which are necessary gears for customers to use. These working experiences exercised my adaptability to a new environment and new people which practised my teamwork ability and communication skills with others in the workplace.

I would like to get this Accounting internship opportunity because I want to accumulate some relevant job experiences for my future career development. As I have learnt relevant financial and management accounting knowledge, as well as auditing from my university studies, I believe I can utilise them as a powerful tool in actual business practices such as preparing journal entries and balance sheets.
