In this role I have created automated tests to see the relative response time of various actions on a website. I wrote these tests using Selenium through a maven dependency for Java and the Selenium IDE. One thing I have achieved in this role is developing a Selenium testing framework for browser tests. This role required me to do my own research to solve issues in a timely manner to meet deadlines.

VICTORIA UNIVERSITY OF WELLINGTON • SOFTWARE ENGINEERING • FEB 2020 – NOV 2023
I am studying towards a software engineering degree with honours at Victoria University of Wellington. I am currently sitting at a GPA of B+ as of my third year. Two courses I did well in were (CYBR371) System and Network Security and (SWEN301) Scalable Software Development. I believe I did well in these courses because I enjoyed learning the content in them and have a genuine interest in Web Development and System Security.

HONOURS/PERSONAL PROJECT • VICTORIA UNIVERSITY OF WELLINGTON • 2023
I am currently working on this project for honours and personally in my spare time. This project aims to implement a software solution that provides more transparency on how your data is used and where data is coming from. I am doing this by adding extra JavaScript code to webpages to display the history and origin of incoming data. This project has required me to use my self-development skills to efficiently research different ways I could solve the aim of this project. Adaptability is another skill this project has required as when I experience an issue, I must quickly find a way to solve it. A React framework plugin prototype of this project can be seen on my npm profile called ajax-instrumentation with a deeper explanation at https://www.npmjs.com/~jayengulab.

OpenMRS is national electronic medical record system piece of software, which is also open source. I wrote these tests using Selenium through a maven dependency for Java and the Selenium IDE. Some relevant skills I used for this project were Project Management and Critical Thinking to fix problems in an adequate amount of time.
