Summary

I am seeking employment within the field of Aged Care Support Worker. My preference is work with clients to assist them to remain in their own homes. From Enrolled Nurse to hospitality business owner and more recently working as a Support Worker, I have 40+ 30 + years of service experience with a focus on providing high quality people care. I am a motivated team member with a pleasant nature and strong work ethic. I have spent most of my life living in rural Western Australia and fully understand the challenges this can bring for me, never mind how difficult it can be for our ageing population. I am pleased to be of assistance and know my hard work is helping clients live independently in their own home for as long as possible. For the last five two years I have worked with Belong at Home/Community Home Care Donnybrook as a Support Worker for older adults. I am passionate about ensuring our ageing population is respected and well cared for. I possess the Medication Competency and am currently using it daily. This competence means I understand an individual's health and social needs. I also provide support to elderly people by assisting with daily activities and personal tasks. This often includes providing support with eating, showering, dressing, tidying and cleaning. I qualified as an Enrolled Nurse in 1982 and spent many years dedicated to the caring profession, including roles at Albany Regional Hospital and Glenn Craig Nursing Home in Albany.
