• Providing specialised nursing care to patients with haematological disorders e.g., leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood disorders.
• Collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised care plans, improving patient satisfaction and potential outcomes.
• Working closely with patients and their whanau during an extremely vulnerable time, creating a listening environment to help families through their journey.
• Building strong therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.

As a casual health care assistant staff at Mercy Ascot I have been fortunate enough to position myself in various areas including, theatre, admissions and on the ward setting. Through this position I have gained great insight into the surgical area within nursing. Not only have I had this clinical experience, I have developed valuable nursing skills such as time management, through getting patients ready for theatre and working in theatre. I have also strengthened my interprofessional relationships, working with various health professionals and colleagues in the treatment and assessment of patients.
