Jennah Mary Derbidge

Napier City

Summary

I’m an empathetic and friendly person who has a love for helping and working alongside people. I have found it extremely rewarding and beneficial for me over the last five years working in customer service, including working cooperatively in a team environment. Just as much as I enjoy working with people, I like getting stuck into my own personal tasks. I love art and I produce portrait drawings and have commissioned some. I went to Victoria University of Wellington in 2019 to study psychology, criminology and film. I enjoyed it however I had to return to Napier for surgery. Since then, I've used my time in Napier to gain more work experience and think about my options and interests. I now work at the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council doing customer service work, and dabbled in application analysing during the Disaster Relief Fund in 2023. I also learnt Japanese for five years in high school and I loved that this enabled me to be able to relate and speak to people of other cultures.
