I am a motivated health care professional with a range of skills that I bring to my work environment, and willingly share with my colleagues. I offer excellent communication, confidence in my abilities as a nurse and a manager, I am responsible for my own actions, willing to learn. I accept there are different ways of knowing and learning, and I willingly accept feedback on my own practice from colleagues. It is important for me to be able to work within a multidisciplinary team providing holistic care for those requiring intervention. I am an open, honest, reliable, conscientious, and hardworking health professional. I aim to provide safe, effective, holistic, and patient and family centred nursing care for those requiring my assistance. As a health care professional it is important to improve and enhance my knowledge, to keep up with changes in practice, policies, procedures, and technology. I am committed to nursing as a profession; I have good organisational skills and the ability to carry plans through. I expect high standards of competence and performance for myself and others, and I am willing to support my colleagues in any way I can to ensure they achieve this. My approach to management is honesty, transparency, and a positive working environment. I am a family orientated person which is reflected in my work ethic, and how I work with others. I believe that if you have a positive functioning team then this is reflected in the patient outcomes and the care they receive.
