· Ensure an effective standard of care is maintained while on duty
· Provide leadership to staff
· Serving as wound Nurse and member of NZWCS
· Monitor, ·support and supervise clinical and other staff in line with facility’s culture, values and standard
· Work closely and collaboratively with other member of the team and key members of the organization to achieve high quality care.
· Build therapeutic relationship with all residents, resident’s families, whanau and friends, where appropriate to improve resident outcome.
· Ensure clinical documentation and contractual requirements are within acceptable timeframes
· Allocate staff workloads, considering resident acuity and staff skill mix to support resident care needs.
· Oversee drug administration to ensure safe delivery of same.
· Coordinate with multidisciplinary team member and send referrals as needed.

· Ensure safety and security of staff and residents
· Report the changing care needs level of residents to the Clinical Manager to ensure needs are met and noted on the care plans for all staff to be aware of.
· Keep accurate and relevant resident records.
· Demonstrate literacy and computer skills as appropriate to the facility for entry, storage and retrieval of information for clinical care.
· Demonstrate ability to apply principles of Treaty of Waitangi.
