Summary

Tēna Koe,

Ko Jo Pasley toku ingoa.

I am an innovative academic leader focused on engaging with students and educators to meet learning objectives and who strive for student progress and success. I believe that student achievement child focused relating to the individual 'whole child' and is achieved holistically with input from whānau, school and the wider community. Learning must be fun and relevant!

I am committed to providing empowering leadership through effective, informed and clear communication.

I use data to justify and to verify decisions and direction.

I have high expectations of myself and others but accept and respect differences and diversity, working to address specific and individual needs.

As a Deputy Principal offering many years of education experience I have worked alongside my Principals to meet school vision and strategic plans. As well, I have performed in an Acting Principal capacity both long and short term and have worked within 3 school's Boards of Trustee teams.

I am committed to ensuring respect is given to and the requirements to Te Tiriti o Waitangi are met. I have direct whakapapa to and am a registered member of Ngā Mahangna a Tairi hapu of the Taranaki Iwi.

I have been actively involved in Canterbury wide educational committees - Canterbury Junior School Leaders (5 years as Chairperson & committee member) and the Senior Leadership Network (committee member for 3 years) where I have been actively involved in facilitating conferences, events & meetings.

I have been involved with school Boards of Trustees for 3 schools - Fairton, Heathcote Valley and Rangiora Borough.

I have most recently been involved in indicatives to stay in line with current practices - PB4L, Structured Literacy, Numicon, Zones of Regulation, Healthy Active Schools, Coding and digital workshops to name a few.

As a resourceful and passionate educator with talent for developing and implementing successful strategies I offer my experience to you to further lead North Loburn School forward into the next curriculum phase with a focus on the school's strategic direction, always under pinning all decisions with the school's vision and values.

With regard to the administrative duties of a Principal, I am organized, methodical and connected. My communication skills are exemplary as are my 'people skills'. I am competent in the use of Google Docs and completion/use of form filling for various purposes including support & funding applications for pupil/school benefit. I am experienced with using Linc-ed / Hero and eTap as student Management systems. I am experienced and connected to many education professionals & agencies in both North Canterbury and the wider Canterbury areas so have a lot of back up should it be needed to fill any knowledge/experience gaps.

I than you for consideration of my application.

Ngā mihi.
