I have experience with loaders, excavators and dump trucks from working here. My main priorities were to run and look after crushers, wash-plants, screens and other types of plant and equipment. I am efficient and thorough at completing pre-start checks and completing maintenance on plant. This includes changing screens, blow bars, wear plates, pipelines and fittings. I also run the plant, feeding it with the excavator or taking away with the loaders. The experience I have the most is in Cat 972 loaders, Cat 320 excavators and Cat 745 dump trucks but have experience in various machines. I have obtained my WTR endorsement and have my certificate in comprehensive first aid.

My main job was to lay concrete down, level it out and have it ready to be finished, but I also did prep work, such as boxing up jobs, leveling out and compacting the metal, used string lines and levels. I can finish jobs, using an edger, float, bullfloat, trowel are all tools I learnt how to use while i worked here. I know how to operate a curbing machine, and know how to make batches of plaster ready for the finishing of the curb, that includes loading the cement and sand onto trailers and putting them into the mixer which required me to be fit and able to lift heavy items. We worked on multiple different worksites, meaning we had to be vigilant in keeping health and safety first. I completed many health and safety certificates with this job.

This was a seasonal job that i did over three years. I worked in the division that handled the product the second time around. I would repack products which required me to have knife handling skills, have a constantly clean working environment and know how to identity the issues with a cut of meat. I gained great team building skills as we worked together in a small group of 7 people. This job also required me to be fit and able as I needed to lift boxes as heavy as 50kg to complete my tasks. I learnt how use a strapping machine, a labeler, knifes and how to take care of them, and how to keep my work area hygienic as I was working with food.
