Nightshift Mar-May Quality Control Floater;
Dayshift May-Jul Invision sampler;
As Invasion sampler my job was to sample fruit on the grading tables, 50 fruit samples after graders and B-Belt fruit samples. Relaying information back to Invasion operator, Grading Team Leader, Line Quality Supervisor or Manager. Depending on the amount of staff usually a sample every 3-5mins. Entering all information into an excel spreadsheet which is shared with Invision Operator and Site Quality Manager.
Jul-Oct Repack RA (Reject Analysis) and SPQI Quality Control ;
As RA I sampled the repacker's reject bins, conducting a 50 fruit sample to verify they were discarding the correct fruit. If and export "good fruit" were found I informed the QC and Quality Supervisor. Additional samples are conducted and all information relayed back to QC and Supervisor.
Another task is pressure testing fruit to make sure the quality of fruit hasn't diminished while in the cool stores. Data from pressure tests are used by Inventory to prioritise fruit that needs to be shipped earlier.
Oct-Nov Repacker;

Night shift Mar-Jun; Quality fruit weight monitor.
To retain my position I go through 1 weekly proficiency check conducted by Line Quality Supervisor or Manager and a weekly 50 fruit test to verify I understand my fruit quality standards. Also 1 weekly audit conducted by Assurance Quality.
Day Shift Jun- Sep; SPQI Quality Control:
While in the Lab I am responsible for assessing leaf samples under a microscope. Ensuring all samples are processed within appropriate time frames. Adhering to all health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
Whilst out in the field (kiwifruit orchards) tasks are collecting leaf samples from a particular block in the orchard; going down each row collecting a leaf per bay and placing leaves inside a bag to be sampled by the lab.
Another part of the field was crop assessment which our team occasionally done.
