Johnny Sawers

My name is Johnny Sawers, I am 17 years old and I am a Year 13 student at MAGS. I am looking to join the Ollie's team as a part-time worker, to gain new experience as well as to earn and save some more money.

I have strong critical thinking skills through impartial and quick decision making, and have developed effective interpersonal skills as a restaurant waiter and pass manager, working with multiple cycles of new staff and by serving thousands of customers over last year.

I am a focused and reliable worker, and I am dedicated to accuracy and streamlining systems for productive work. I have developed confident communication skills with fellow waiters, and with the kitchen by managing what food is prepared and sent out as a pass manager. I am flexible to system and position changes, and will learn what is required quickly.

• Passionate home cook, I love mastering simple techniques and ingredients to make delicious burgers, steaks, traditional pastas for quick weeknight recipes or more adventurous weekend projects.
• Vocalist in a metal band who loves writing songs, playing gigs and working on production, mixing and mastering of our own tracks and when working on solo projects.

I live near the Balmoral/Mount Eden road intersection so I can easily and consistently make it in with a short bus trip.
