After completing 2 weeks of leaf thinning on a persimmon orchid I moved to the role of "quad bike driver", picking up crates of fruit as it was picked off the trees.
Following the completion of the persimmon picking season I moved to the packing shed and have been assisting in packing avocados.
Responsible for supplying the distribution team with packets of LVL (timber) to make up orders for dispatch. This involved operating combi-lift trucks ranging from 4 to 9 ton as well as occasional forklift driving (from 3 to 8 ton).
Over this time I worked in most areas of billet processing. This included;
-Gantry crane operation
-Rip saw arbor building and installation
-Control deck operation
-Paint line operation
-Bundle saw operation
-Packaging
-Forklift and combi-lift operation
-Remanufacturing.
After returning to Whangarei I worked for relatively short periods in the roles listed below;

-picking and packing orders
-customer service.

-picking orders and loading trucks.

-storeperson.
I originally started working in the Auckland warehouse, picking and packing orders, trade sales, truck deliveries and organising outwork.
I later moved to the Lower Hutt branch in the role of warehouse supervisor. As well as continuing on with similar duties to those in Auckland, I was responsible for a small team of 3 to 4 people.
