Jordan O'Brien

Student with a deep interest in Mathematics and Computer Science. Throughout my time at university we have done multiple group projects allowing me to learn to work with peers well. I have taken a wide range of Mathematics subjects ranging from Mathematical Modelling, Discrete Maths, Statistical Theory, Linear Algebra, Calculus. I have also taken classes which involved coding in C, R, Matlab, Python so I have a wide range of programming knowledge.

I have various projects I have embarked on:

- Markowitz Portofolio Optimisation which was done in Python, I optimised a diverse portfolio with respect to volatility.

- Using Reddit's API Wrapper (PRAW), I webscraped r/wallstreetbets top posts and comments, then processed the data using Sentimental Analysis and implemented a working trading algorithm using the quant connect website (https://www.quantconnect.com/).

School Projects

- Playable mini game in C

- Python OOP project which reads from files and handles the data to ultimately return an analysis of the data within. Which contained statistics on people arrivals to different countries within each Continent.

- Simple Connect 4 playable game in Python.
