Summary

I am currently in my final year of my Carpentry apprenticeship, I am a self driven, motivated individual who has a keen eye for detail and take pride in my learning and workmanship.

I am very determined to upskill myself and I'm always open minded to other ways of improving my career in Carpentry.

The work I have been involved with range from Commercial construction, Renovations, New builds, Passive house builds, helping to build tiny cabins for the homeless in Masterton, Outdoor projects E.g. Bar leaners, Family BBQ tables, planter boxes, dog houses and other personal wood working projects.

My responsibilities include running Jobs, order and pick up materials, supervise apprentices, reading plans, communicate with clients and ensuring quality is 110%.

In 2021 I decided to enter the Master builders apprentice of the year Lower North Island competition, I spent countless hours perfecting my written submission and the practical element in June 2021. I made the top 10 of the Lower north Island apprentices and progressed to stage 2 of the competition.

  • After I finished my pre trade with G & H training in Lower Hutt, I started off in the building industry laboring and within a month of working for Ninox construction i was then trained how to cut and install Gib on commercial sites such as Rymans retirement village in Petone, Hiltons hotel in wellington and the Xero building in wellington.

Hobbies

I'm a keen Hunter and love to get outdoors walking the hills every opportunity I get. I am also a member of the deer stalker association which helps connect with other hunters in the Wairarapa region.


I enjoy Muay thai fight training as it gives me a sense of discipline and keeps my fitness levels up while learning how to defend myself.


I enjoy gaming when I have spare time I'll usually chill out and jump online with mates to de-stress, crack jokes and have a good time


I love travelling around to different locations sight seeing, photographing great memories, Camping.


Using the skills I have picked up over the few years in carpentry has given me a sense of purpose to help others that need work done or just make stuff myself for around home!


I also have a passion for writing! I could write for hours and just get lost in my own thoughts. writing to me helps me visualise my future!
