Kia ora, my name is Josh Pottinger. I have experience working on short films, documentaries, music videos, and television. Through the past two years, I have grown proficient in Avid Composer, DaVinci Resolve Studio, and the Adobe suite. I believe that the keys to success in the film industry are collaboration, organization, feedback, and adaptation. Prioritizing these four keys has led to a significant amount of growth in my film career, or more specifically, my editing career. As an editor, I believe it's important to not only have these aspects, but also to understand motivation and have a reason for every single cut, every single sound, and to build a strong relationship with the director to achieve the optimal outcome. I also have a strong passion for the sound department, and it is something that I never thought I'd love, but I have grown a strong respect for the importance of sound in film and how good sound most often goes unnoticed.
