Starting my own company was one of my favourite achievements .

It was very scary at first but that quickly eased.

I worked at K Tex for close to 20 years.

I started with no experience plastering and quickly learnt the job.

After a couple of years I was in charge of our crew and communicating with project managers to deliver jobs on time

I enjoyed working outside and the new skills I learnt. The owner of this company also owned K Tex.

As he was shutting down this building company he asked if i wished to join his Exterior Plastering company

I started part time work at Pats Pantry while still attending Otumoetai College.

It was a great experience that taught me alot of new skills.

While there I was involved in every role from accepting raw material deliveries, to manufacturing the product, right through to packaging individual orders to load onto a delivery truck.
