I am a hard working and dedicated individual currently working at Hunting and Fishing Rotorua. I am an avid 4WD enthusiast and enjoy working on mechanical components. In my spare time I like to try and do work on my own car and have also done some work experience at Te Mihi and Poihipi station. I am a keen learner and am looking to branch out into a more serious skillset by gaining an apprenticeship.

Work History
Fishing Sales Associate
Hunting And Fishing Rotorua
Bay Of Plenty, Rotorua
12.2023 - Current
Working at Hunting and Fishing Rotorua has been great since I am a passionate fisherman. Working with fishing rods and reels while also serving customers around the store.
I help sell fishing equipment and assist other fishermen and customers to make their fishing experience around Aotearoa more enjoyable. I help fix customers' reels and rods, alongside spooling their reels up with fishing line.
We get a lot of stock moving in and out of the doors. I help move stock out onto the floor, which can be physical work, lifting BBQs and other larger items.
I have also taken on the responsibility to refill dive bottles for customers. This is also another very physical job, since when dive bottles are full, they become very heavy. This gives me a huge responsibility to ensure the customers' safety when they are out diving, making sure they are breathing in clean and reliable air.
Construction Assistant
Western Heights High School
Bay Of Plenty, Rotorua
01.2023 - 12.2023
During my last year attending Western Heights High School, I enrolled in a construction course held on the school campus. My peers and I would work three times a week, building two houses for the council of Rotorua.
I worked with many different tools, ranging from hand tools to power tools. The majority of the time, I worked with nail guns, hammers, and table saws.
Working in this environment taught me many important skills. I learned about how to be safe while using equipment that could cause harm not only to myself, but also to those around me. I learned how to solve problems when something did not go as planned, and how to fix it in a productive way. Most importantly, it is essential to work as a team and encourage those around me to create a positive learning environment.
Baggage Handler
Milennium Hotel
Bay Of Plenty, Rotorua
01.2023 - 07.2023
As a baggage handler (porter), I directed arriving and exiting hotel guests to their designated rooms, then delivered their baggage once they had settled in.
I would often work hours leading well into the night, where I would do hourly security checks inside and outside of the establishment.
During my late-hour shifts, I was also appointed to momentarily fix leaking pipes and any other urgent job that needed to be attended to.
