Production Assistant

Tuapeka Gold Print
03.2022 - Current

I started out on a heat press, I gained experience on all of the heat presses which include your normal Heat Press with tranfers, Hat Press, Umbrella Press, Silicone Press and Sublimations. The products range from silicone wrist bands to caps/bucket hats, bags of varying shapes and varieties, bar mats, cooling towels, mouse pads, stubbie holders and clothing just to name a few.

I then got asked by my shift leader after 4 months if I would change departments as they were wanting to get nightshift up and running in more departments and lead the team on an unofficial basis. So I stepped up and got put into Embroidery, I had to go onto the Twilight Shift for 6 weeks to learn the job as quickly as possible plus all the troubleshooting that goes along with it so I could run the team. It was somewhat stressful but nightshift got successfully started in Embroidery. As part of my role I was in charge of organising jobs for the team, training new employees, trouble shooting any problems that arose with the machines and also still running a machine myself. I got overlooked as the official Team Leader but I am just as happy being a team member with alot of experience and can still help the team and team leader out when required to do so.
