Major flood clean ups, I was hired by NZ Safety Blackwoods, Glenfield branch, to help clean the store of the mess created by the flood.

This role included:

• Heavy lifting
• Separating product
• Loading bins and trucks
• Keeping the store tidy

Skills I learnt:

• Workplace appropriation

Occasionally help my father on the weekends & school holidays complete jobs by his clients whenever he would be in need of assistance.

This role included:

• Sanding
• Filling and or fixing damaged property

Through this acquired skills like:

• Attention to detail
• Consideration towards overlooked outcomes

We would every Wednesday and occasionally Friday, hold a sausage sizzle at Kaipatiki field, to fundraise for the Glenfield women's rugby 7s team.

• To prepare, cook, and serve food to customers desires
• Customer service
• Handled cash operations and managed the correct change back
