I moved from Ireland to New Zealand permanently 4 1/2 years ago and am loving the new change here. I hold a New Zealand Permanent Residency Visa and have chosen to settle down in Christchurch. I am a polite and professional individual successful in applying strong communication and problem resolution skills to each customer issue. Have a solid history of surpassing productivity and quality targets in high-volume settings. Skillful in building long-lasting, loyal customer relationships. I am a very dependable individual and strive to bring out the best in myself as well as others in my workplace.
Duties in this company but not limited to:
> Ensuring all available stock is placed on the shelves and date rotated according to oldest stock vs newest stock.
> Checking all stock on the shelves correlate with the prices on the ESL Pricing Tickets.
> Training up new staff in the Butchery Department of the shop floor if they start their first shifts on the same day that I am on the roster to work and are placed with me on the shop floor.
> Maintaining health and safety at work while keeping an eye out for all potential hazards
During my time here I learned a lot about the job itself as it is the first dam to be slipformed in New Zealand using a system imported from Brazil. Day to day tasks involved working as part of a team under immense pressure as working with wet concrete which put us under severe time constraints as it was accelerated concrete which would hold form and dry faster. I learned a lot about myself as an person and proved to myself that I am well able to be standing on my feet and moving around for long periods of time. My daily hours were 12 hr days totalling up to 75+ hours at the end of the week. I gained valuable experience and knowledge working with the slipforming equipment and working as part of the small hand picked team involved in it. I walked into the site knowing nobody on the first day which was intimidating and when I finished I knew everybody on a first name basis and had a good vibe with all the others. I made some really good friends there with whom I keep in contact with and got offered references by some high up individuals for that company. I gained a lot of life skills during my time here.
My duties during my time Here included as follows:
> Cash handling & Cash counting.
> Security Agent duties to ensure no unruly individuals entered the premises during the events.
> Liaising with the Bingo coordinator throughout the evening to ensure all aspects are running according to schedule and patrons are having a good time.
> Interacting with customers and assisting elderly patients with mobility issues to their seats to ensure their comfort and safety as I have studied Aged Care which was a big bonus for this particular job.
I'll start by giving some insight into this particular role.
The Tipperary Town Pantomine Society is a musical talent show with musical performers and talent acts coming from towns far and wide for a weekend show held in the Marian Hall, Tipperary Town, Tipperary, Ireland.
My duties included
> Ensuring everything was set up during the day before the show commenced that night. Set up included setting up microphones, speakers, stage lighting and seating accommodations to seat a approximately 250 patrons.
>Once every act time limit was finished cleared the stage of props and seating and quickly set it up following the requirements for the next act behind closed curtains and sometimes open. I was also in sole charge of operating the stage lighting during the progression of musical acts through the night.
> Upon reaching half time interval I hastily made my way to the on-site shop which sells soft drinks, snacks, water and lollies. I tended to all the customers alongside the owner in retail sales of items in the store, cash handling, cash counting and customer service.
I did work experience at this facility as part of my healthcare qualification requirements and of my choosing. My daily duties included but were not limited to:
> Helping during meal times for the elderly by providing food and beverage service.
>Assisting elderly patrons on and off the bus during pick up and drop off times for the centre.
> Cleaning duties.
> Helping with activities and events hosted for the elderly people who frequent the centre.
> Making patrons feel welcome by interacting and chatting to them while also tending to their every need and requirement.
>Ensuring safety and infection, prevention and control guidelines are adhered to at all times while working as part of the team within the centre.
I spent just over a year here volunteering daily as I have a big heart for animals who have been mistreated. My duties included walking, feeding and general caring for the dogs and other animals at the centre. I ensured they got treated with the utmost care and respect as I tended to all their needs through the day. Cleaning duties were also involved upon arriving first thing in the morning and we're maintained throughout the course of the day. Light farm work was also necessary when tending to the horses and other farm animals.

I love heading out to the gym on a daily basis. I am physically fit and present myself well. I strive to achieve new goals and achievements for myself and give myself time to achieve these targets. I prefer going to the gym as my evening routine over everything else since I moved to New Zealand.
