At Bidfood, I quickly mastered 21 delivery routes, excelling in customer service and safe lifting techniques. Demonstrating professionalism, I played a key role in training new drivers, ensuring efficient and safe product delivery. My ability to solve problems and organize effectively prepared me for advanced responsibilities, showcasing my readiness for further career development.
My main role was assisting the driver in the delivery of goods to customers and ensuring that all products were delivered safely and promptly.
This included the unloading of goods from the truck on to trolleys and putting them in the allocated storage areas according to customer requirements. Chillers, freezers, pantry etc.
Within 6 months, I had learned the delivery route of all of the 21 runs, therefore I was often given the task of familiarising new drivers with their appointed runs.
This included, addresses, keys, point of entry, alarm codes and most importantly, the order of delivery as many customers were serviced at certain times.
I had also become proficient in the picking of the goods which was a primary role of the drivers. So I was also tasked with helping new drivers in this area as well.
Basically, I had the necessary skill and experience required for a delivery driver if I had the appropriate drivers licences. I currently have a class 1 learners and in the process of acquiring my restricted.
