I have proudly worked for Jones and Co Services for the past couple of years and have enjoyed working in an environment that has allowed me to expand my knowledge, try new things and encouraged me to succeed. This position allowed me to wear many different hats whilst working in a fast paced environment in which I found a sense of accomplishment.

My role at Jones and Co included the following;

  • Working closely with Managing Director, sharing and implementing new ideas and discussion of general running of the business.
  • Office administration/Customer support - providing excellent customer service via phone and emailing, using CRM and g-suite effectively, creating documents and policies, handling any complaints and providing resolutions, scheduling, maintaining stock level and ordering.
  • Training - Training new employees for both cleaning technician and administration roles
  • HR - Recruitment/Payroll/Staff support - Advertising vacancies, screening and interviewing potential employees, hiring process. Providing staff with support and resolutions, sourcing upskilling opportunities, implementing procedures and policies, keeping all HR information organized and updated. Using 'Thank you payroll' to pay employees wages along side GeoOp to extract timesheet information.
  • Debt recovery - Following up on outstanding balances with an understanding but firm stance. Successfully recovering multiple debts without diminishing client rapport.
  • Working with contractors - working alongside marketing agencies, videographers, tradesmen and graphic designers by providing them with a sense of direction of the Businesses requirements and providing ideas surrounding google campaigns and advertising material.
  • Social media - Keeping social media up to date and posting fresh and enticing posts regularly.
  • Updating website - Learnt basics of updating our website with new material.
  • Job scoping - Visiting potential clients premises and estimating cost of requested services

Job overview

I started working at the George Street franchise as a sandwich artist. My role was to provide customers with exceptional service, prepare food in a safe and timely manner making sure that the restaurant was in a tidy and thoroughly clean condition at all times.

I was offered the opportunity and promoted to Duty Manager with which I welcomed a role with more responsibilities such as;

  • Opening and closing the restaurant
  • Being responsible to deal with any matters that may have arisen during my shift.

I transferred to the Andersons bay subway franchise and assumed my duties before stepping away to focus on my growing family.
