Summary

I am an enthusiastic and passionate leader, with thirty years of experience in the cultural sector. I enjoy new challenges and am committed towards promoting growth and operational improvements as a first-rate communicator, organizer, and planner, to my next career opportunity.

My leadership role in the arts and heritage sector has focused on developing the professional capacity of the institutions I have led, securing significant sponsorship towards capital and exhibition projects, and prioritizing relationship-building as a key mechanism for strengthening institutions as they develop. It has also involved roles on Advisory Boards for public art, national arts councils in both Fiji and New Zealand, tertiary arts programming and curriculum development, heritage councils in both Fiji and New Zealand and a Pacific regional University Council.

I have led, or contributed significantly towards, the development of arts and cultural strategies including: Arts & Culture Strategy for Fiji (1999), Hamilton City Council Public Art Policy (2005), Hamilton City Council Creativity & Identity Strategy (2007), Toi Whitiki Auckland's Arts & Culture Strategic Plan (2014).

Over the past 10 years I have built on my MBA qualification through my leadership role in the private sector, where I have honed my strategic management skills and business leadership.
